About our Founder

Emma W. Morris, Founding Partner. Emma created this strategy and execution consulting firm following extensive experience at leading corporations such as IBM, Ernst & Whiney and MSA/D&B Software. She was also founding CEO of several entrepreneurial companies such as VistaScape (Siemens), maker of security software, and Synchrologic (Intellisync) – a developer of mobile and wireless technologies.

Emma founded The Morris Group to give her a platform for sharing her expertise with growth-oriented corporations and other organizations, including a select group of non-profits. She realized more than sixteen years ago that the services she could provide as team leader to a group of experienced and motivated professionals would have far greater client value than her solo consulting could provide; she therefore put together both the team and the tools needed to provide that exceptional level of services her clients need – and expect.

Drawing upon her extensive experience in launching and growing companies, facilitating major change initiatives and coaching executives, Emma guides senior management as they evaluate strategic options and develop operating plans to ensure successful execution of sound strategies. She also engages the superior talents and experience of the entire team at The Morris Group.

Emma Morris’ client work includes rapid growth, merger integration, major change initiatives, company launches and product life cycles. She is a frequent speaker, writer and consultant to companies large and small – from early stage venture-backed technology companies and family-owned manufacturers and food processors to Fortune 500 companies, utilities and not-for-profit organizations.

She holds a BA cum laude from Emory University and an MBA in International Marketing from the University of South Carolina. She serves on numerous boards – private and public as well as not-for-profits. In addition to the proprietary tools which she developed for The Morris Group, she is certified in the use of the Perth Leadership Outcome Model ™ (Perth Leadership Institute).
